Third project team meeting in Bristol, UK
21. 07. 2017
Between 18th and 20th June 2017, the Soil Association hosted the third meeting of the Suskinder project in Bristol, England.
Delegates from each of the partner countries met at Windmill Hill City (https://www.windmillhillcityfarm.org.uk) farm to discuss and develop the aims of this exciting and innovative project. In summer temperatures of over 30 degrees (which are rarely experienced in Bristol), delegates enjoyed a tour of the farm. Highlights included a tour of the farm's early years childcare provision. This included the Farm Adventurers facility - a unique, all-year-round childcare experience for children aged two to five years to experience farming and nature in the heart of the city. The group also learnt about the invaluable work that the city farm is undertaking with refugees to help them to integrate in their new communities, whilst also providing them with opportunities to share experiences of farming and growing from their home countries.
At the project team meeting the partner Zivi Venkov presented the final version of the 1st Intellectual Output, the e-learning platform and web portal “Sustainable food in kindergartens”. Then the partners finalized to work on the 1st Intellectual Output, the guidelines and didactic concept for the training course “Sustainable food in kindergartens”. Afterwards they presented and discussed the contents, activities and materials for the modules of the 2nd Intellectual Output, the English pilot e-learning course for training on “Sustainable food in kindergartens”. In the last section organizational issues, the planning of the next meetings and the financial management were clarified.
